The form
Mime is our way of showing what we mean by design. A clear modernist outline, a subtle mixture of materials and a tuned colour palette are composed into one precise object. Nothing extra. Nothing accidental.
The light
For any lamp, light is the real test. In Mime, a milky polycarbonate shade, engineered in the right thickness, turns the beam into a soft, balanced glow. It stays transparent enough to draw a clear contour in the room, yet diffused enough to feel gentle on the eyes. More of a calm, neo-Bauhaus halo, rather than a harsh spotlight.
Where design meets the workshop
We design and produce under one roof. Our own workshop lets us guide each object from the first sketch, through prototypes, to small-series production or single, unique pieces.
From first sketch to final gloss
This control over the process keeps our work honest: aesthetically precise, functional and safe. The solid bodies of our lamps are finished with a high gloss solid varnish, which gives remarkable depth and intensity to every colour in our palette. We collaborate with experienced craftspeople and specialists, using ecological production methods wherever possible.
Who are we?
STUDIO LARUM is a Polish design studio where modernist form meets craftsmanship and ecological production.
We design and make our objects in our own workshop. This lets us lead each project from the first concept and sketch, through detailed design, to small-series production or single, unique pieces.
We care that our objects are not only visually precise, but also functional and safe. We work with experienced craftspeople and specialists, so every lamp leaves the workshop as a well-balanced combination of design, usability and care for the environment.
